Mohammad Mirhosseini Receives NSF CAREER Award

Mohammad Mirhosseini, Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics, has received a CAREER Award from the National Science Foundation (NSF). The Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program offers the NSF's most prestigious awards in support of early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization. Mirhosseini receives the award for his proposal titled "Quantum silicon phononics: Harnessing long-lived phonons for memories and interconnects."

Mohammad Mirhosseini Receives 2023 AFOSR Young Investigator Research Program Award

Mohammad Mirhosseini, Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics, has received a 2023 YIP award from the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) for his project titled "Quantum Computing-Encoding Bosonic Quibits in Long-Lived Phonons."

Professor Mirhosseini Receives Okawa Foundation Research Grant

Mohammad Mirhosseini Named 2022 KNI-Wheatley Scholar

Mohammad Mirhosseini, assistant professor of Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics, is the recipient of the 2022 KNI-Wheatley Scholarship in Nanoscience, for his proposal to develop on-chip transducers that provide optical interconnects for superconducting qubits, one of the leading platforms for quantum computers.
